Hi! We’re Kaitlyn & Martin

We’re two licensed Architects with a passion for residential architecture and each other! 

We both graduated from the University of Notre Dame and met while studying abroad in Rome. We’ve been married since 2014 and decided to start a business together shortly after. Nine12 Architects was born out of a desire to serve homeowners more personally and inspired by frustrations with our own historic home in East Nashville. 

With over 10 years of experience as architects in Nashville, we have worked on projects of every size, from interior renovations and backyard studios to new houses and developments. We take pride in historic Nashville neighborhoods like ours and know the ins and outs of the permitting process.

Our goal is to be accessible, down-to-earth, and to simplify the design process. Everyone should be able to work directly with an architect, no matter the project size.

We know first-hand the frustrations of living in a home that doesn’t fit your lifestyle. Picture us with our two young, energetic boys and a couple of pups outgrowing our historic brick cottage in East Nashville. Between a kitchen expansion, primary suite renovation, and a new backyard studio, we've done a lot to improve our own home since 2014 and understand the toll a construction project takes on a family. That’s why it’s our priority to deliver a hassle-free design approach.
